Daily Devotion


When we read the account of creation in the book of Genesis, we realise that things unfold as different events occur. Things happen seamlessly as God works them out by His Spirit. When God selects Abraham as a man through whom He was to extend His hand and blessing to the human race, He releases upon Abraham the ability to do extra ordinary things. Yes he had his down times but it was clear that something special was upon his life that caused whatever he did to prosper or turn out well. When we read about these accounts we stand in awe and that’s in order but let’s not miss out on the detail that God’s plan is to extend this ability to the rest of the human race. Let the seed of God in us as His children break forth especially in times of adversity for the glory of His Name.

SCRIPTURE READING Genesis 26:1 -3 And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar. And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;

DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly Father, Thank you for your empowerment to do well even in times of difficulty in Jesus Name, Amen.
