What we don’t know can hinder us from living out our lives to the fullest potential. I once saw a placard that had this inscription, “If you think education is expensive try ignorance”. It’s true that anything that’s worthwhile will cost you something. Many times we have to view it as an investment into our future. That way we will cease to be ignorant about things that matter and will bring about the positive change we desire to see in our lives. When we are ignorant or lack knowledge about a particular subject, our ability to take action in that area is locked up. Opportunities in that area are also lost or not maximized cause we will not see them when they show up. Let’s learn to value knowledge. Let’s go a step further to acquire knowledge as we study and glean from those that have gone ahead of us.

SCRIPTURE READING: Hosea 4:6 – My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly Father, Teach me to value knowledge and grant me the grace to learn from those you send my way in Jesus Name, Amen.
