Every nation has a constitution, a set of written rules and procedures on how to go about things in that nation. It’s that constitution that empowers the leaders to lead, the policemen to carry out their mandate, the members of parliament to legislate, the judges to do their work among others. Without this constitution these public servants can’t do their jobs and even the lay citizens can’t hold their leaders accountable thus they need to read and interpret this constitution to justify all they do for it’s what empowers them to do their jobs.
As children of God, He has given us the bible, His written word to guide and empower us through all that we do and this bible has inherent power to perform and do all that it says to us. We ought therefore to study it, internalize it and have it working in and through our lives to give us the best Christian experience of victory in all aspects of life.
SCRIPTURE READING: Isaiah 55:8-11 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly father, teach me to activate your power in and through my life as I rely on your word in the name of Jesus. Amen.
