As humans, it’s natural for us to do things for others to approve of us and like whatever it is that we’re doing and often times we do this unconsciously and some consciously. Some even get to the extent of buying things they don’t need, make pledges they won’t fulfill only because of the crowd not because they want but to please others.
When we come to God in prayer, it’s only right for us to address Him and not the people around us for some wives can’t talk to the husbands directly and can only address him in the family devotion. This isn’t the will of God and should be avoided, when we come to God in prayer. We ought to come ready to speak to him and be ready to get answers from Him for in His presence do we get our answers.
SCRIPTURE READING: Matthew 6:5-6 KJV And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God, help me pray with the mind set that am speaking to you God that is more than able to help me in the name of Jesus.
