Daily Devotion

Story is told of one of the richest men in America, John Rockefeller who was granted the contract to insure the great titanic boat and he was willing to do the job and was going to do when the Lord told him not to and he got out of the deal just like that. We all know how that later the great titanic sank and of course whoever insured it was bound to pay so much in claims and must have felt a great pinch with them.

This is the wisdom by which men are preserved in business, in ministry, in career, in all aspects of life. The scripture tells us how David always sought the will of God before he went out to do anything, he went to war and won because the Lord told him so, not because of His capacity physically or the experience He’d gotten over the years but that God had given him a go ahead to win all the battles he went into.

You need to surrender to God and allow Him to direct and order your steps like the bible tells us in Psalms 37:23. Let him lead you in the paths of righteousness, for His name’s sake. He will cause you to flourish like you’d never imagined to the glory of His name.

SCRIPTURE READING: Matthew 6:10 KJV Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly Father, as I surrender my way to yours, lead me to the destiny that you have purposed and prepared for me in the might name of Jesus.
