COMPROMISE 2

Most of the times compromise comes from a place of unbelief and lack of persuasion in a thing. Many people compromise on principles that they don’t really believe or understand because they can’t explain them or even defend them. That’s why as a child of God, as others are questioning the things of the spirit, the word of God and how it works you ought to be fully persuaded and have a readiness to defend the things you profess.

We are also commanded to be “prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you …” (1 Peter 3:15). In other words, we are commanded not only to remain faithful to the Word but to defend it and correct those who are in opposition to it (2 Timothy 2:24-25). God is serious about us not compromising His Word with the values of the world—the reason being that those outside of Christ may then “come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil.”

Child of God, be persuaded of the things that you believe for then can you stand on the word and have its power work in your life in the name of Jesus.

SCRIPTURE READING: Psalms 92:12(AMP) The [uncompromisingly] righteous shall flourish like the palm tree [be long-lived, stately, upright, useful, and fruitful]; they shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic, stable, durable, and incorruptible].

DEVOTION PRAYER: Lord help me get my persuasion right that I will refute all ungodly things and stand on your truth in the name of Jesus.
